1º y 2º van al Festival de Cine

El martes fueron los de 1º y vieron "Mi abuelo el ladrón de bancos" . Hoy miércoles han estado los alumnos de 2º, que han visto "La manzana y el gusano",

5º en el FICI

Esta mañana nuestros alumnos de 5º han estado en el Festival de Cine Internacional para la Infancia y la Juventud

y han visto la película "África Unida" sobre un grupo de niños de entre once y quince años provenientes de diversas partes de África (Ruanda, Congo) que deciden embarcarse en una aventura bastante complicada: llegar a Sudáfrica para presenciar e, inclusive, participar del mundial de fútbol realizado en 2010.

This morning our students from 5th have been at the International Film Festival for Children and Youth, and have seen the movie " Africa United".A group of children aged between eleven and fifteen years from different parts of Africa (Rwanda, Congo) decide to embark on an adventure quite complicated: getting to South Africa to attend, and even participate the World Cup in 2010.

Fiesta del otoño. Autumn party

El viernes se celebró la fiesta del otoño en infantil. Por la mañana los de 4 y 5 años estuvieron en el parque Pradolongo y en el jardín botánico viendo las plantas y jugando con las hojas y semillas que había por el suelo. Algunos se pintaron la cara con motivos otoñales. Los de 3 años se convirtieron en ardillas y estuvieron buscando castañas por el patio del colegio.
Por la tarde todos juntos en el hall cantaron la canción de la vendimia y vieron y probaron algunos frutos del otoño. Había almendras, nueces ,castañas asadas, mandarinas, uvas, granadas,...
On Friday the autumn party was celebrated in the infant classes. On the morning children aged 4 and 5 were in the Pradolongo park and the botanical garden seeing plants and playing with the leaves and seeds that were on the ground. Some painted their faces with autumn motifs. The 3 years children turned into squirrels and were looking for chestnuts the schoolyard.
In the afternoon all together in the hall sang the song of harvest and saw and tested some fruits of autumn. There were almonds, walnuts, chestnuts, mandarin oranges, grapes, pomegranates

Esta mañana, cuando los peques del cole han vuelto del parque han venido con ellos un montón de ardillitas que han invadido el cole. Hemos conseguido atrapar a diecinueve, las demás se han escapado.
This morning when the kids went back to School from the park. They brought with them a lot of little squirrels that invaded the school. We managed to catch nineteen. Others escaped.

Cuarto en el Museo del Prado

"El jueves 3 de noviembre fuimos al Museo del Prado, allí vimos algunas pinturas de Velázquez , Goya entre otros pintores. Los cuadros que más nos gustaron fueron "Las Meninas", "La familia de Carlos IV" y los cartones para tapices que hizo Goya sobre Madrid, como la "La Gallina ciega"Hemos aprendido las historias de esos cuadros, la vida de los reyes y pintores de aquella época . Nos han sorprendido mucho las pinturas negras de Goya. También en plástica hemos pintado el cuadro de las Meninas. ¡Han quedado preciosos!"

Entradas y salidas del colegio

Desde el Consejo Escolar se ha lazado una campaña para mejorar las entradas y salidas del Colegio. Se trata de concienciar a padres y alumnos para que se hagan de la forma más ordenada y rápida posible, evitando aglomeraciones y dejando que los niños entren y salgan solos.
CIRCULAR A LOS PADRES
From the School Council has been roped a campaign to improve the entrances and exits of children to school. We want to educate parents and pupils to do in the most orderly and expeditious as possible, avoiding crowds and let the children come and go alone.

Reapertura de la Biblioteca

Ya podéis volver a sacar libros de nuestra Biblioteca todos los martes y jueves de 16h a 18h.
Para coger prestado un libro necesitáis vuestro carnet de Bibliotecas (os sirve en todas las bibliotecas de la Comunidad de Madrid).

Getting to Know Blake

Blake es un auxiliar de inglés que da clase a 5º y 6º.Blake tiene 24 años , viene de Washington, D.C. Estudió relaciones internacionales en la universidad de Mary Washington en Fredericksburg, Virginia. También ha estudiado un año en la universidad de Deusto en Bilbao.
Blake vino a España a enseñar inglés y a visitar Europa. Se va a quedar en España por lo menos hasta agosto del 2012. Le gusta el cole porque los alumnos son muy simpáticos en especial 5º y 6º y están muy entusiasmados por aprender inglés. Tiene un hermano de 20 años y se llama Christopher y una hermana que tiene 18 años y se llama Paige. También tiene un perro llamado Caesar- Pero en España no tiene familia y les hecha de menos.
Le encantan todas las fiestas que celebramos aquí en España, piensa que son muy diferentes a las de Estados Unidos y que son muy divertidas. Su comida favorita en USA es la comida de barbacoa y la de España la sopa de marisco y la tortilla de patata. ,vive en un piso en Cuzco cerca de La Castellana y por ultimo es fan de Athletic club de Bilbao.(by Diana, Laura and María)
Blake is an English assistant with the 5ºand 6º grade classes here in Meseta de Orcasitas.
He is 24 years old and comes from Washington, D.C. He studied international relations at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He also studied for one year at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain. Blake came to Spain to teach English and visit Europe. He`s going to stay here in Spain at least until August 2012. He likes the elementary school because the students are very nice, especially those from fifth and sixth grade, and they are very enthusiastic to learn English. He has a brother called Christopher and an eighteen-year-old sister called Paige. He also has a dog named Caesar. He has no family here in Spain and misses them all very much.
He really enjoys the holidays that we celebrate here in Spain. He thinks that the holidays are different than those of the USA but that they are very fun. His favorite food from the USA is BBQ and from Spain he likes shellfish soup and Spanish omeletes. He lives in an apartment in Cuzco near La Castellana and finally he is a fan of Athetic club of Bilbao.
