Día del libro 2014

Mañana, 23 de abril se celebra en casi  todo el mundo el día del libro. La UNESCO eligió esta fecha porque fue el 23 de abril de 1616 cuando fallecieron dos de los más grandes escritores de la historia: Cervantes y Shakespeare.
En el Reino Unido el día se celebra el primer jueves de marzo para evitar que la celebración coincida con sus vacaciones de pascua.
En el colegio dedicaremos el día y toda la semana a "Platero y Yo" de Juan Ramón Jiménez ya que se han cumplido 100 años de su publicación.
Tomorrow, April 23 is celebrated in most of the world the Book Day. UNESCO chose this date because it was the April 23, 1616 when two of the greatest writers in history died: Cervantes and Shakespeare. 
In the UK the day is celebrated on the first Thursday in March to avoid the Easter holiday. 
At school  we will dedicate the day and the entire week to "Platero y Yo" by Juan Ramon Jimenez as they have been 100 years of publication.
