This is Halloween

El viernes celebramos en el colegio la fiesta de Halloween para practicar inglés y perder el miedo a los fantasmas, monstruos, vampiros, etc... que normalmente nos asustan. Fue muy divertido. Colgamos caras de monstruos, decoramos las paredes del colegio que, desde primera hora se llenó de seres terroríficos, bailamos, cantamos y por la tarde pasamos por el túnel del terror.

Last Friday we celebrated at the school, Halloween to practise English and not to be afraid anymore of ghosts, monsters, vampires, etc... who normally frighten us. It was a lot of fun.

We put up monster faces, decorated the walls of the school, that became very scary. We danced and sang and in the afternoon we passed through the tunnel of terror.

El pasaje del terror

Por la tarde todos pasaron por el pasaje del terror. Bueno no todos, porque algunos no se atrevieron.

In the afternoon all passed through the passage of terror. Ok, not all, because some didn't want to.

Invasión de zombies, ghosts,monsters, etc

El viernes el colegio ha sido invadido por extraños seres. La mayoría eran zombies, pero había de todo: fantasmas, diablos, duendes, esqueletos, brujas, etc

Friday in the school we were invaded by strange things. The majority were zombies, but there was a bit of everything: ghosts, devils, elves, skeletons, witches, etc.

Bailando y Cantando en Halloween

Los últimos días en todas las clases han estado preparando canciones y un baile para el día de Halloween. Los de Infantil han cantado "La brujita Tapita"; los del primer ciclo "In a dark dark wood", los del segundo ciclo "Bones inside of you" y los mayores "This is Halloween".

Luego todos hemos bailado el Thriller de Michael Jackson

The last few days in all classes we prepared songs and a dance for Halloween. Those in infantile sang "La brujita tapita"; those in the first few grade "In a dark dark wood", those in the second part "Bones inside of you" and the olders "This is Halloween".

After we all danced "Thriller by Michael Jackson".

Los alumnos de quinto y sexto han dibujado y pintado distintas caras de monstruos para decorar el hall del colegio en Halloween. La colección de monstruos es realmente terrorífica.

The students in 5th and 6th drew and painted distinctive monster faces to decorate the hall of the school for Halloween. The collection of monsters is really terrifying.

Escuela Solidaria de Derecho

La Fundación Uría, como los años anteriores, está impartiendo unas sesiones de Derecho para los niños de 5º de E.P.
El programa aborda los siguientes contenidos:

The Uría Foundation like years before gave out Law classes for children in the fifth year.
It contains the following information:

- "España es un Estado de Derecho": La Constitución y las leyes. Las leyes facilitan nuestra convivencia. Los jueces, fiscales y abogados.

- "Spain is a country of law": the constitution and the laws. The laws facilitate our lives together. The defense, prosecutors and lawyers.

- "Los derechos de los niños en la ley": Los derechos son de todos. También de los niños. No existen derechos sin deberes.

-"Children's rights in law": Laws are for everyone. Also for children. There are no rights without responsabilities.

- "Leyes a nuestro alrededor": Derecho e igualdad. La propiedad y los contratos. Cuando no se cumple la ley.

- "Laws around us": Rights and equality. Property and contracts. When the law isn't followed.

Alicia en el País de las Maravillas

Ayer lunes, los niños y niñas de 4 y 5 años estuvieron viendo en el Centro Cultural de Orcasitas la obra "Alicia en el País de las Maravillas". Fue una obra musical. Cantaron muchas canciones y los niños bailaron y disfrutaron un montón.

This Monday the four and five years old children went to the Orcasitas Cultural Centre to see the musical "Alice in Wonderland". They sang many songs and the kids danced and had a lot of fun.

Maite la profesora responsable de Biblioteca

Maite Ramos es la profesora responsable de la biblioteca desde hace dos cursos. Da lengua y mates a los de 4º. Nos cuenta que en la biblio hay algo más de 3000 libros. Su objetivo como encargada de biblioteca es darla a conocer a los alumnos del colegio para que la utilicen y saquen libros. Tiene pensado hacer presentaciones de libros a través de sus autores o ilustradores, animación a la lectura y cuenta cuentos. A ella le encanta leer y ahora se está leyendo 3 libros. Entre ellos "La sombra del viento ". Recomienda a los niños leer a Gómez Cerdá y a los mayores a Vargas Llosa.
Maite Ramos is the teacher responsible of the library for the past two years. She teaches language and math for the 4th grade. She told us there are more than 3000 books in the library. Her objective as librarian is to teach to the students what they can learn by reading. Students will be motivated by the library´s presentations of books through their authors and illustrators and storytellers. She loves to read and is currently reading three books, one of them is La sombra del viento". She recommends the writers Gómez Cerda, for infants and Vargas Llosa,for adults. (Yaiza, Laura G.)
